Cover For A Track
Last summer I got a message through Instagram about creating a portrait for this fellow in England. I thought about it for a second and decided "Jia! Let's do this, my pleasure". All I had to do was to choose a photo and draw.
When the drawing was completed I sent it to him, and couple days later I was happy to find this photo on fb, as he had used the drawing I did on a cover for his track...so great! Check out his music and see what he is doing!
P.S. This took place a year ago so this is a late post.

Sanoja
pilvet kääntyy taivaaksi
huulet punaisena varjelemaan totuudelta
syntynyt tomusta ja tomuksi katoava
tekee asioita joista toiset saa puhetta
kadottuaan nousee olevien huulille
ei puhu ei kuule' ymmärtää harhan todelliseksi
muuttaa mielikuvia jotka tekojen seurauksena ymmärretään kilveksi
jonka läpi pääsee lahjomatta turvattomalla tietämättömyydellä
...
askeleita ulkoa
kenelle ne kuuluu ja millaiseen tarinaan
toivoo saa itseltäänki salaa tietävänsä
kylmenee ilmat linnutki karkaa ja ihmiset oottaa
seuraavaa aamua eilistä iltaa
pelätään odottamista
palvotaan hyviä hetkiä
eikä unohtamista unohdeta
katsotaan muttei nähdä
kuunnellaan vaikkei kuulla
katsotaan muttei nähdä
kuunnellaan vaikkei kuulla
hetket valuu hiekkaan
hiekka sulaa lasiksi josta koko naapurusto juo loppumattomaan janoon
juodessa jano kasvaa
juomat hupenee joka tapauksessa
kaikki olevaista' z on x

Unfinished doodles and this and that
Drawn with charcoal on soft velvet paper a couple years ago.
The flier for the drama thesis we prepared and performed last year at school with two friends.
These two above are part of my final project for art. This piece was finished last spring. It has three parts to it and it is the biggest pencil piece I've done so far. I taped the paper against the wall of my room, which is made of concrete, which is really rough. You can imagine the amount of loose lead on the floor when I was done. huh.

Oh, and I have graduated from high school! Oo yeah!! Feeling gooood, allthough....

Dunes
I used pencils to draw this drawing for a friend. I like the idea of challenging yourself, it makes days interesting and...well challenges are fun! I got to say that this time I really managed to challenge myself with this drawing. Somehow the way how light lives on their face is very difficult to understand, it creates shades over shades. I worked to capture the happy, loving feeling which they have.
Oh. This one night I was tired but I wanted to keep drawing some more. At the time I was working on the baby's expression and the radio was on. I think it was John Lennon's and Yoko Ono's Baby's Heartbeat, what started playing on the channel. The moment was kind of scary, the sound of one's heartbeat is very powerfull plus there was a smiling baby in front of my eyes. It really did feel strange, creepy and really scary to be honest. After a while I just had to change the channel. Now when I think of it, it makes me laugh, but at the moment it wasn't funny at all!
